Water sports & swimming fun at Lake Attersee

Dive into the turquoise-blue, crystal-clear water

With its 48 km² surface area and sparkling turquoise-blue water that is of drinking water quality, Lake Attersee is a true paradise for swimmers, paddlers and water sports enthusiasts.

In-house pleasure lake beach

What do you need for a perfect day at the lake? Not much really: a beautiful spot on the lake where you can gaze out from the shade of old trees over the crystal-clear water, the Höllengebirge mountains and the sailing boats gliding past. There are also cosy deckchairs, private cabins and modern sanitary facilities. These ingredients for a perfect day on the lake can be found not far from our hotel on our own 2000 m² pleasure lake beach. Of course, there are also numerous other lidos and public bathing areas around Lake Attersee, where you can take a break at any time during a hike or cycle tour and refresh yourself with a dip in the lake.

Water sports in and on the lake Attersee

All those who are drawn further out onto the water to engage in sporting activities in the refreshing water will be delighted by the wealth of possibilities that Lake Attersee has to offer: The ultimate decelerating and perhaps also the most romantic way to get out on the water is an exploratory tour on the nostalgic wooden rowing boat anchored on our lake beach. But those looking for more water action will also find what they are looking for around Lake Attersee: Why not hire a stand-up paddle board and enjoy the tranquillity of the turquoise-blue lake? Or why not put your sense of balance to the test with water skiing or wakeboarding? Or let yourself be pulled across the lake in a tube or on a banana - more water action is not possible.

Tip for divers:

If you want to get to the bottom of things with a mask, tank and fins, Lake Attersee is the right place for you: with its exceptionally clear visibility of up to 25 metres - even further in winter - Lake Attersee has become a popular destination for divers from all over the world.

Everything around the boat

Lake Attersee is a popular destination for all boaters: whether by pedalo, motorboat or e-boat and, above all, by sailing boat, the lake is an excellent place to explore. Of course, you can also obtain your sailing licence at one of the sailing schools around the lake. At the same time, numerous services are offered for your boat: Do you need a new sail? Do you need someone to set your buoy? Would you like to launch your boat? Do you need a mooring for your boat? You will find all the contact points here.
